A battle report of Shrek vs Kelly, but where the Kelly Shuffle is fully implemented.
Here Kelly deploys in a corner.
Kelly moves his vehicles forward to get into firing distance with his assault cannons. Notice how as he moves forward he still keeps the firing lanes open for his lascannon predators
Whereas most people would fall back to a corner, Kelly contines to shuffle down the left flank. He is pushing the flank with his baal predators, while his razorbacks shift in behind. notice how he still leaves his firing lanes open for lascannon predators
his razorbacks fall into line on the left flank while his baals continue to lay down fire support.
Again, this is where many people would stop, but kelly continues to push the left flank all the way to the board edge so his tanks can encircle and continue to shoot. Also, the lascannon pred now can fall down the left flank and still have firing lanes while it flees new threats.
Again, Kelly keeps shuffling, now shuffling down MY OWN BOARD EDGE....theoretically if a game went on for 100 turns kelly would just continue to shuffle down all the table edges in one big conga line while his tanks followed suit.
The final turn...notice that he never stops so its hard to hit his vehicles, and continues to shift while shooting. This is also why you need a mobile army to pull this encircling tactic off: blood angels, eldar, and dark eldar are probably the only armies that can pull this tactic off. Razorback lists can do it as well, but they will be slower.
